Introduction

Here at Perfect Finish we are dedicated to providing the best Paint Correction and Paint Protection services for everyone. Recently, our shop was given the opportunity to bring a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass back to life by performing a full body paint correction and Modesta BC-X Ceramic Coating application. Check out our process and results below!

Full Body Paint Correction & Restoration

During our initial assessment it was apparent this 1970 Cutlass had a significant amount of imperfections in the paint. The exterior of the vehicle had an orange-peel like texture, there were multiple runs of clear coat, and the paint was unlevel in several areas. Our certified technician began by performing a full body wet sand to get the paint down to a smooth and even surface. Once all imperfections were out of the paint, we followed with a 3-stage polish to get the paint to a mirror like finish. Finally, the vehicle underwent a IPA wipe down from hood to tires  in preparation for the ceramic coating application.

Ceramic Coating Application

To guarantee top-tier paint protection, we selected Modesta’s BC-X Ceramic Coating for its unrivaled strength, protection, and durability. This hydrophobic* coating was carefully applied to each panel to ensure the vehicle was protected from minor scratches, damaging UV Rays, acid rain, and road grime. The owner can ride easy knowing his paint will remain showroom ready for years to come!

Post Application Results

Post-Application, the 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass was completely restored. The Modesta coating magnifies the glossy mirror like finish of the paint with added protection against UV rays, chemical stains, and minor scratches. The car owner was thrilled with the results and enhanced protection.
